WaldExpert

WaldExpert is a mobile information system for owners of micro and small private forests in Baden-Württemberg. The app establishes the connection between forest owners and advisors. WaldExpert activates, informs and communicates.Functions:- Search for your own forest on the basis of parcels or landmarks- Representation of the parcel (or the district) on a map- Save the parcel offline- Navigation to the parcel (via navigation app)- Information about the parcel: - Area size (not binding) - wood volume (estimated) - CO2 storage (estimated) - forest functions - Protected areas- References to funding opportunities for habitat types that are worthy of protection- Contact addresses of the responsible forest organization- Map display of - Rescue meeting points in the forest - Vulnerability of current forest stands from climate impact research - Annual climatic reference cards- WaldWiki with explanations on the topics presentedWaldExpert is a research project in the field of sustainability of the Baden-Württemberg digitization strategy. The client is the Ministry for Rural Areas and Consumer Protection (MLR), coordinated by the Forest Research and Research Institute Baden-Württemberg (FVA).
